Album Notes
Rumor has it that the Eurythmics secretly gave birth to a boy and a girl, and sent them off to be raised by robots. With nothing but electronic love and a whole lot of 80's records, brother and sister duo David and Chenot grew up making music together. In 2011, they joined society and created Mission Zero, mixing acoustic and electronic elements in their live show (as Chenot plays guitar and piano and creates intricate vocal harmonies with a looping pedal, while drummer David adds vocals, electronic beats, and surprising percussion “instruments," like boots, brownie tins... whatever is on the floor). The dynamic electro-pop sound of Mission Zero ranges from rootsy, aching soul to sweet pop-rock confections.
“Anyone who is a fan of the boy/girl duo movement… would be well off adding Bruises on the Map to their collection and checking the duo out when they blow into town.” - Anthony Geehan, The Deli Magazine.
