ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Dr. Gaynor is a board certified oncologist and Founder and President of Gaynor Integrative Oncology in Manhattan (www.drgaynor.com). He is a pioneer in the use of sound and music as part of both wellness and treatment programs. His book, The Healing Power of Sound has been featured on The Dr. Oz Show, 48 Hours, and CNN. His music uses harmonics created from quartz crystal singing bowls mixed with precious metals and minerals in addition to nature sounds, and the tabla. These crystal tones are used to entrain specific brainwave states via a process known as brain wave entrainment. Delta brain waves are in the 1-4 Hz range and are associated with deep meditative states. Theta waves are associated with dreaming brain activity and are in the 4-8 Hz range. Alpha brainwaves are in the 8-12 Hz range and associated with relaxation while awake. Beta and Gamma waves are the ranges above alpha waves and are associated with enhanced performance and memory.
