"A 'Mary' Christmas" is a wonderful recording filled with spirited songs that kids and parents will love to sing along with or just listen to. With original and well-known all-time favourites, families are treated to a real mixture of up beat, action-based and also sacred songs with wonderful harmonies. Mary's original new sacred song "My Little King" is one of several highlights of this new Christmas CD which radio listeners are sure to love.
Top-notch musicians from Kingston and Eastern Ontario added their creativity to this wonderful project, including: Pete Pereira-alto and tenor sax; Frank Rose-keyboards; Dave Barton-trumpet, horn and guitars; Jeremy Daw-base; Steve Pittico- guitar; Shawn Kellet-fiddle and Gerry "Dirt" Clancy-drums. Many talented back-up vocalists and choirs also assisted with the project, including members of Mary's family. Recording at Summit Sound Studio during the month of April, the Young Chorister Limestone Junior, Senior, North and West Choirs provide exciting strength to Mary's vocals. The Junior Choir adds their enchanting voices to "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus" which features Mary's daughter, Tabitha.
There are many musical surprises in "A 'Mary' Christmas", including a very funky version of "Jingle Bells". The Wannamaker Sisters, from Trenton Ontario, also join Mary, adding their angelic harmonies to "My Little King", "Do You Hear What I Hear", and "Silent Night".
"A 'Mary' Christmas" will surely find its way under YOUR family's Christmas tree this year!
