Contemporary Christian Recording Artist Michael May has just returned from the studios of Nashville, Tennessee where he recently recorded his freshman CD "Rescue Me" on Pollen Records.
Michael May is a resident of Charles County, MD having moved there from Seattle, Washington, where he was born. Since that time, Michael has won several best male vocalist awards in the Washington, DC area; received a grant from the Maryland State Arts Council for vocal solo performance/musical composition; sang back-up for the Internationally re-known Hosanna Integrity Music Choir; was a member of the National Christian Choir; sang the tenor solos for Handel's Messiah with the College of Southern Maryland; opened up for National Contemporary Christian Recording Artists Margaret Becker, and Wayne Watson; and appeared solo in concert on the Mall in Washington, DC for the annual July 4th celebration. Michael recently performed in Biloxi, Mississippi where local Radio Station WAOY held an on-air interview with him regarding the release of his new CD.
Currently, Michael and his wife Lisa, along with their three children Emily, Rachel and Matthew, attend South Potomac Church in Waldorf, Maryland where Michael serves as a member of the praise team using his many talents singing, composing and playing drums, to uplift the name of the Lord.
