ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This is the project I've wanted to do for years.

I came up with the concept while daydreaming and listening an a summer day.

The sounds outside my studio, my fountain and the birds, were leading me away from my work and into a meditative space.

It was as if they had been crying to me and I was trying to tune it out.

Over the next few months I started to assemble the ambient drum tracks and chants and talked over the project with a few musical friends.

I had not meant to release it as a published recording but rather a gift for myself to encourage the inner silence I value beyond anything else.

I shared the early recordings with a few close friends who frequent the studio here in Joshua Tree and it seemed we were all looking for something to lift us out of the mundane and into the silence.

Several wonderful musicians expanded the Tantric Circle by adding their sounds and vibes to the mix.

To punctuate the journey, I added natural sounds from some of my favorite areas around the country.

Certain nature sounds ground me and comfort me in a mystical way.

I did this primarily to make the music more useful to myself in my inner travels, but strangely enough, others that heard it seemed to feel very much the same.

The Tantric Circle expands and contracts with the love of those enclosed.

The way into the circle is the way into yourself.

This recording has tremendous dynamic range. It whispers and it roars. It was meant to be experienced in a quiet environment or on headphones. Put aside worldly thoughts and commitments and take the journey.

I'll see you there. SLF. Mojave Rhythm Circle.

-Journey To Here-
She, From another life, another time
She, A face, a touch, a scent, a sound rippling echoes of knowing
I, Births, lives, deaths, revolving tumbling in the ocean of being
She, Peaceful, still, waiting, aware of my restless seeking
I, Not knowing it is her I seek
I, Floating unaware on the gentle lapping waves of her breast
I, Longing for reunion
I, Wishing end to the cold separateness of myself
She, Holds me, surrounds me
She, Whispers, It was only a dream, I was always in her, We were always One
