ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Moonraker - the spirit of live electronic soul. Moonraker blends elements of drum & bass, house and jazz infused trip-hop to create some of the most fresh and intelligent music to surface in the Boston scene in years. With atmospheric grooves derived out of past Massive Attack, Portishead and Esthero influences, and away to an original creative vision.

Moonraker branches out from the current state of music, working with the remnants of d'n'b and house. The energy of dance music is filtered through the live band, creating the sexiest sound to surface in years. The power of the human voice merges with epic soundscapes and ever-evolving breakbeats to continue the ancient story forever told.

The recent upsurge of the live electronic scene has gained a rapidly growing audience, and Moonraker has been steadily moving to the crest of this wave of new music. Having been together for two years, the group has packed countless rooms in the Boston area, including the Middle East, House of Blues, Bill's Bar, the Paradise and the Somerville Theater. Moonraker is continually broadening its fan base with regular performances in Massachusetts, Maine, Rhode Island, Vermont, Toronto and New York City (Wetlands, Mercury Lounge, Knitting Factory). Moonraker were named 'Best New Band in Boston' by WBOS 92.9, and are featured regularly on local radio (WBCN, WERS). Moonraker has shared the stage with notable acts including DJ Spooky, Ice-T, Amon Tobin, Joan Osbourne and the Disco Biscuits.

This CD is wonderful, and they are all extremely talented musicians. Don't pass this up!

"Best New Band in Boston" is a title not given lightly to livetronic innovators
Combining funk, jazz, ambient, and trip-hop, Moonraker is breaking new ground with their chill yet undeniably floor-ripping sound. From the laid-back, sexy groove of "Night With You," to the chill vocals and driving beats of "Organic Love," Moonraker consistently delivers a unique yet familiar sound that finds its way into the listener's head - and repeatedly back into his or her CD player. The debut album Nada Brahma has been smoothly polished and its songs are artfully well crafted.

They just keep getting better!
If you thought Nada Brahma was great, wait till you hear this new EP. I challenge you to listen to Easy Fever and not find yourself singing it for the rest of the day--you won't sound as good as Kelli Scarr, though! Seldom have I heard a band as tight and in sync with each other. They sound as if they were born to play together. The only thing we can hope is that their next album is longer than an EP. We want to hear more. Keep it up, Moonraker.

A Great mix of drum & bass and solid soul groove
This album is definately pushing new borders. The Trip/Electronica/Soul style of this album is not like any other. Featuring smooth sensitive vocal over some amazingly sick grooves. I would highly recommend this CD.
