Album Notes
With an incessant hunger for growth and amplification of self…Moonshyne is a multi-dimensional person who is first true to himself as an artist, son, brother, and child of God. He transcends the boundaries of hip-hop with not only his lyrical style but with exceptional substance that connects his music to everyday people.

Moonshyne started writing songs, poems, and rhymes at the early age of 12. He was influenced into hip hop by a diverse group of artists such as The Roots, Ras Kass, Boot Camp Click, and DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince. As a true artist, Moonshyne continues to master his craft as an emcee with each beat, song, and album he writes. His stage performances continue to escalate his prevalence in the hip hop community as audiences are drawn to his lyrical content, raw talent, mic delivery, infectious beats, and entertaining stage presence.

With multiple successful underground maxi singles, strong first album, and growing popularity via the internet Moonshyne is fast becoming a legitimate figure in the Bay Area hip hop community. In 2007, his highly anticipated second album, Sense of Direction, produced by Landmark Records’ DJ Spin is set to take the same community by force. The title of the album exemplifies where Moonshyne’s head is at right now...focused; with a clear vision of the direction he wants to take his music and himself.

Moonshyne’s expectations are to inject quality music into the forefront of the hip hop scene. A scene that is inundated with distorted images of success and a warp sense of self worth. Moonshyne brings a distinctive energy to the stage and a stimulating vibe to the page.

tight as fuck...
moonshyne always comes correct, definately deserves a lot more love then he gets. Reminds me of a cross between old Talib Kweli/ Mos D (when they were w/ hi-tek only), mixed with a lil Detroit Deli Neo Soul, and toss a lil Neptunes on the production tip in certain tracks and you have one of the best underground rap albums of last year. Most definately the best out of the south bay.

AM Entertainment

Very well put together from flow, lyrics, production, and beats. Definitely a complete album. If this is your sens of direction then I like where your going!
