ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This wonderful CD includes four of your all time favorite children's stories accompanied by the music of the greatest classical composers; a world premiere of a string quartet composed by James Stephenson inspired by four illustrations by Chris Van Allsburg lovingly reproduced in the CD insert; an adaptation of The Prince and the Mermaid with music by the preeminent Afro-American composer William Grant Still; and finally everyone can go to sleep to the poetry of Robert Frost with Vivaldi's Winter and the very special Goodnight Moon brought to life by Debussy's Claire de Lune.

MOB is striving to bring classical music to children in an engaging and exciting format. Our goal is for children to obtain a recognition, and a deep appreciation for great classical music. In our CD "Music Tales," children will hear themes and melodies from the greatest music of all time, while listening to some of their favorite stories and fairy tales.
