ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Moray is a collaboration of Ric Mora, Rob Banks, and Antony Campos. Moray's debut EP was released in October 23, 2012.
Their musical influence spans over many genres and is composed by a array of artist like ELO, Peter Gabriel, The Cocteau Twins, Pink Floyd, and Dead can Dance. Although their music has deep roots in psychedelic rock, it expresses flights in shoegaze, dream pop, and electronic ambient rock opera. The EP centers around the Macabre history of New Orleans' Voodoo legends and the origins of Zombies. It tells the story of a anonymous victim who has succumb to the power of the Zombie curse, and when re-awakened into the nightmarish world of a Zombie is conflicted with his feelings of love toward his mistress and his desire to consume human flesh. Along the way he finds himself caught between two planes, that of the living and the unbound souls of the dead. Walking among their spirits he is inundated with sights and sounds of the past superimposed over the present, and in a city like New Orleans it becomes difficult to keep track of which he is currently in. Moray is also a part of the Gaia Groove consortium, a small but growing group of New Orleans artist, producers, and musicians who's intent is to share a common vision of music and art.
