ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Moray is a collaboration of Ric Mora, Rob Banks, and Antony Campos. Moray's debut EP was released in October 23, 2012.
Their musical influence are ELO, Peter Gabriel, Pink Floyd, The Cocteau Twins, and Dead can Dance. Moray's music has deep roots in psychedelic rock, but it expresses flights in dream pop, and electronic glam rock. VooDoo Love, centers around the Macabre history of New Orleans' Voodoo legends and the origins of the Zombie. It's a story of an 18th century victim, who has succumb to the power of the Zombie curse. Released from his tomb of a hundred years, he awakens into a nightmarish world of a Zombies and spirits, and finds himself conflicted with feelings of love and his desire to consume human flesh. He finds himself caught between two planes, that of the living and that of the unbound souls of the dead. Walking among their spirits, he is inundated with sights and sounds of the past superimposed over the present, and in a city like New Orleans, it becomes difficult to keep track of which world he is currently in. Moray is also a part of the Gaia Groove consortium, a small but growing group of New Orleans artist, producers, and musicians who's intent is to share a their music and art.
