Album Notes
The core members of the band started out as a free form percussive/rhythm improvisational act. Within the last few years Mo Rebo expanded into a powerful dynamic of structured music. With the addition of vocals the band has created a large following of multi genre fans. The eight piece Mo Rebo lineup has a multitude of musical influences such as Rock, Latin Rhythm, African Rhythm, Juju, Pop, Folk, Funk, and Jazz as well as more eclectic styles. This particular CD, "Get a Grip", is just a sample of all of the backrounds Mo Rebo touches upon. The band is currently and anxiously working on another CD. Mo Rebo is always evolving and each piece is always going to be different from the next. The members of this band are more than just work partners, and you can tell by the way they play together.

Mo Rebo's Tim Blumish died suddenly on Tuesday Feb. 8th, 2005 of natural causes. He was only 48 years old. He will be sadly missed by his wife and four kids, as well as the remaining members of Mo Rebo. He will certainly leave a painful hole in the hearts of all who loved and cherished him. Mo Rebo will continue to write and play together. A new CD will be released towards the beginning of 2007 in Tim's honor. How lucky we are to have all of these new recordings to keep Tim's spirit alive.
Christine Polacci, Joel Polacci, Doug Russell, Kevin McCleary, Dan Grosso, Jeremy Quezada, Atu Fambrough, and Kurt Unger. (Mo Rebo)

This CD really covers all ground
This is an extremely well thought out and performed CD. I can't get enough of it. Perfect for driving. Love the live tracks at the end. Good grooves, good feel, and well worth the money. The music on this CD should have air play regularly.

Music Scene

Tired of buying a CD and every song sounds to much like the last?
If this sums up what you have experenced, get Mo Rebo! The sweet sounds of dozens of warm instuments blending flawlessly will almost make you want to trance-dance like the old days at a Dead show. After purchasing this CD several Months ago I eagerly await for this bands next release! Get A Grip, Fast Turtle, and Pocket Dream expose the 2004 verson of the modern hippy. Manage, State Street tango, and The Bricks Take you to a world where several differnt styles of music (blues, jazz, funk, rock, bluegrass, and world beat) melt in your ear as if all along this is what music should have been. Now it is, but it belongs to Mo Rebo! I live 2 hours away from where this band usally plays, but the trip is well worth it! If you get a chance the the live show is well worth a couple hour drive. Listen to The Bricks, and State Street Tango (recorded live) it's rare a band these days sounds this tight live. Check it out! First there was the Dead, Phish, Dave Mathews, and Rusted Root....Now there is MO Rebo!!!
