ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Moses Lesco Levi is a roots reggae artist from Aberdeen in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. He has been performing his original Karroo reggae for ten years and is an Elder Priest of The Universal Movement Of Rastafari Royal Family of Ethiopia. This album is a collaboration between Moses and Michael Brown, the internationally successful author of The Presence Process. Michael Brown has a ten year stint in the South African Music Industry and this album follows his release of Freedom in 2011. The outcome of this collaboration has been authentic roots reggae, with a sophisticated jazzy feel reminiscent of the Sophiatown era. The album was recorded at Studio Camdeboo in Aberdeen in the Camdeboo, Cacadu district of The Karroo. It is likely to be hailed one of the most elegant reggae creations to have come out of South Africa. Your ears and body be the judge. Play it three times and you will have nothing else coming through the speakers for weeks. Jah be praised for being the cornerstone of this long awaited debut release of Moses Lesco Levi & The Ancient Singers.
