Album Notes
Imagine being physically immersed in a cauldron filled with Bjork electronica beats and textures, angelic vocals of Portishead and then throw in splashes of visual imagery and Graham Murphy contemporary style dance. These are some of the inspirations from which Me-Lee, the brain child behind Mozaika, draws on to create not only music but a multi-sense experience for the auditory, visual and proporioceptive systems of the human mind.

Mozaika is a project that aims to collaborate with not only musicians but with visual artists, film makers, photographers, dancers, sound scape artists in fact anyone who is willing to cross and interchange the boundaries of multi-media and genre.

Primarily the music is an original blend of Alternative, Electronica and Classical music sometime experimental, always original.

Line up includes a core of classical piano, synths, electronica loops and Me-Lee's vocals and she can be accompanied by acoustic and electronic stringed intruments, electronic drummer and even giant sized projections of film, photos and paintings.

Primary collaborators include violinist and artist Rachelle Wildmare, abstract photographer Rae Stanton, and dancer / film maker Karen Crespo.

These girls kick arse
These girls have got it all, and they sound bloody fantastic too! Great sounds and harmonies, with a refreshing dose of atmospheric darkness balanced by just enough light to still have street cred. On ya, moZaiKa from SS

Mozaika burrow under your skin!
Let Mozaika into your house and they'll burrow under your skin. Not in a - 'omg im being invaded by egg-spawning aliens' kinda way, more in a - 'gosh, I hope there's enough room for them', endearingly accomodating kind of way.

Because . . . you want them to stay.

Yay Mozaika!

Mesmerizing moZaiKa
The mind takes wing as it slides into moZaiKa's slip stream. Captured by an electro current that impels us to respond, we find ourselves trying to anticipate the journey but are foiled by a voice & words that reveal another, unexpected path. Resonating with the mercurial beat, we ponder the elusive, enigmatic lyrics til a vapour trail left by a violin steals our thoughts & begs for further interpretation. Mesmerizing moZiaKa, it is too easy to dive into your slip stream again : a great sound. Others say : Who's that?

Original music from these two wayout artists inspires and teases from a place of
Follow in me is a song that catches the senses right from the wonderfully paced piano intro all the way to the sharp and punchy ending.I enjoy it more and more everytime I hear it.Thanks girls for your originality and pop complexity.

Incendiary but smooth, Mozaika is a true original
Sensuous and defiant, Follow in Me sees Mozaika's rough rock grit face off with the slow burn tease of classical violin to create the rare, bold sound of a true original. Lyrically sparse, with a master-poet's eye for restraint, this incendiary debut is an undiscovered gem essential to every self-respecting muso's indie collection.

Fans of Bjork, Portishead, Audioslave and Tori Amos will love this all the more.

Specialized organelles of all eukaryotic cells that use oxygen.Often called the powerhouses of the cell, mitochondria are responsible for energy generation by the process of oxidative phosphorylation.

Mozaika add so much more to my MITOCHONDRIA,every time I listen I feel an extra burst of life and all that is just very amazing about our time here.
Thanks for doing what you do!
