Album Notes
David has been playing Music since he was 12 years old. He played for tips and meals for 15 years in Nashville, California and Florida while his wife Dixie worked as a waitress and they, along with The famous producer Greg Humphrey, J.D. Hicks and Bruce Hicks recorded their first CD "Code Name : Jumper" in 1990. This CD has some great musicians on it , to include Warren Haynes, Matt Rollings, Leland Sklar , Sneaky Pete, Al Perkins and Anthony Crawford. The CD was promoted in Europe by Glitterhouse Records, re-mixed and mastered by Gunter Pauler. People seemed to like the CD so another 14 more CD's have been produced and released,4 albums by Glitterhouse, 4 by Stockfisch Records and 5 by Mobile Home Records. Some are solo/acoustic and others with Great European Musicians to include Chris Jones, and several of the best musicians on The Planet, from England, Germany and India, including "The very gifted...Mike Silver ".
From 1992 - 1998 David toured mainland Europe several times with his wife "Dixie Blue", Ms S.P. Standley-Munyon, always playing solo/acoustic. They have many fans and friends over there. He returned to Europe on his "World Love" tour in September 2005 and has played shows in Austria, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland and the UK. After recording in London in July 2007 he has returned to Germany for a while.
David Munyon is a "topical writer" much like many of the folk legends and roots artists of todays acoustic tradition. David is a writer, performer, painter, artist, poet and farmer. He humbly promotes the book "Autobiography of a Yogi" by Paramahansa Yogananda. David has songs that are performed by Eric Burdon, Rick Travino, and Jennifer Warnes. He has worked Shows in the past, with Bill Monroe, Suzanne Vega, Richie Havens, THE BAND, The Drifters, the truely talented Terry Lee Hale, Joseph Parsons, Danial Putnam Green, Warren Haynes, Gene Gillespie and many others.
"David Munyon songs are great!", says Rolling Stone Magazine in Germany. David says "I just ask God to help me write a good song for the folks and I just hold the guitar and pencil" and says, I'm very grateful for everything, my best friends work at Glitterhouse Records and Stockfisch Records, from Germany, and we are very blessed to know Gunter Pauler. We are hopeful that our songs may, in some way, bring happiness and comfort to people in this World and maybe if we all work together we can stop some of the pollution in the air, and maybe clean up the Rivers and Streams and The Oceans, and spread some love and harmony... and promote Peace". David adds, "Prayer is a Powerful Thing, years ago, I was home-less ...and just look what people's prayers have done for me...my wife Dixie's prayers and my friends and family's prayers, all that I have today... from the generosity of my friends in Germany and and Italy and Holland and Europe and The U.S.A and Canada, and France and Spain and Ireland... I still ask everyone to pray for me". "What is my message"? "I don't know , says David Munyon perhaps Love and Forgivness, Forgivness for everyone ... up to 77 times a day, and Love, and good coffee, and Peace".
David Munyon is managed, on various days, by Greg Humphrey in Nashville and Ms. Georgina Moore in Los Angeles, and very much managed by his wife, Dixie Blue.
David is currently visiting Germany and his own record label, Mobile Home Records, is based in London, UK. He also still records for Stockfisch Records in Germany and there are albums from both labels due for release in 2008.
"That's about all there is to say about David Munyon".

Too Cool, a must-have for fans
As a huge fan of David Munyon, I regret that there is not enough funding for a record with a complete band backing his great voice and lyrics. On this album, the drum machine is acting as companion. Sometimes the machine is too much a machine and I really miss the human touch. On the other hand, if you are a fan of David Munyon, this album again is a must-have.

Where Can I find Ken?

He recorded me as well
I was hoping that you could funish me with Ken Thomaston's e-mail or phone number if at all possible. Ken recorded me back in 1998!! He camped out in his trailer for the Christmas of 1998 and 1999 after he moved to Alabama. I hope he's OK.

Thank's, Tom

Interesting electric excursion!
This new Mobile Home Records production was original recorded in the hot Alabama summer of 2005, at Tao Place in Ozark, David has told me. It was the first album ever where David used to play an electric-guitar instead of his "old-buddy", the 'Martin' acoustic-one. On most of the tracks he played it to the different rhythms of a drum-machine. So at first listening it sounds a bit unusual for me, but after listen to it again and again I’m getting much more comfortable with it. All eleven tracks are new Songs, never published on any other David Munyon CD so far. "Too Cool", the title-track of the album sounds like it called: A really cool and modern one with a "too cool" guiding rhythm. I really wish some radio-stations would give this one some airplay …! Two more favourite tracks of mine are "Fabreeze the cavalier" and "In between the realm of reason". The last Song on the CD is "I want your love". This one shows again at its best David’s great talent of writing very emotional and deep-touching, beautiful Love-Songs. David Munyon playing his origin acoustic-style is what I’ll like most for ever, but this is an interesting and worth listening electric-excursion, which awakes my hope to hear a real rockin’ Band album like "Acrylic Teepees" again soon.
