The Weekend's Here

by Muscle Russell

This a fun and yet truthful musical effort. Many are stories about my wanderings in my life. The weird and bizzare people and sitituations I have found myself in and around. Somethings are just silly. Give it a try....

Album Notes
The first song is just a good ole' beer drinking song. Time for a cold one. Ain't Dead Yet-composed when I was nineteen and bald. A tragic event that altered my being. However the song is just a fanstasy of being a Donald Trump. DisappintmeTavern- a composite song of events in a divebar I used to walk to, The Tropics, largely a true song. I'm Going, just a little diddy about life collapsing in1985, well with some new license for creatitivty.King- actually written one night in Elko about a gas attendant who takes in too many fumes. Baggage Queen, another composite song about a woman who destroys men's lives. We all know one. Saturday Night Sinner, a generalization about women who pretend to be nice when they are actually very naughty. Women Who Have Stormed Through My Life is true but about other guys chics (Thank God). Make Me a Momma, another true one about a roomate who wanted me to get her Pergo. One of the few times I said no to a woman (Double Thank God). Gettin Old is the second version of this classic hit. Jean, Jean. Love the fiddle on this tune. Semi-true. Burnt Ranch, a classic country song about loss...and true. Don't You Owe Jack A protest song about freeloaders who think they are entitled to the rest of us' money.
