ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Have you been waiting for this album? We certainly have. Naked Singularity's tortuous history begins with a comment by astrophysicist David Palmer in an answer to a question posed to NASA's Ask A High Energy Astronomer forum. From there it was only a matter of time...

The original version of the band performed a gig at the Goddard Rec Center in 2001. This was followed by several personnel changes. The next incarnation of the band (Maggie, Kevin, Rich, and Tali) coalesced in December 2001 and stayed gravitationally bound for the next 4-5 years. Then in 2005, Tali either spontaneously combusted or took a job at MIT. The investigation is ongoing. Rob joined the band as our new drummer in July of 2006, and Joe joined us on guitar not long after.

Our influences include a certain amount of Beatles, quite a bit of blues, some Grateful Dead, BNL, Guster, and Carbon Leaf. If you like those bands, you'll certainly like the same kind of music we do. Enjoy!
