ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Growing up in Shaker Heights and Geneva Ohio, Nance’s house was always filled with music, big band classical, jazz to rock and roll. In High School, tall and shy, she realized that music was her voice, singing alto in church and school choirs she developed her ear for distinctive harmonies. After a decade in Northern California Nance landed in Norfolk Virginia where she listens to the music of the waves breaking on the beach in front of her home on the Chesapeake Bay,. Her love of unabashed fun combined with her strong need for solitude defines the title of her debut album Sociable Loner. Her lyrics become her confessions and are about beginnings and endings and the time and space between. Nance wrote Cya as a tribute to the working man..or woman...who would much rather be lying on a beautiful beach somewhere than tied to a 9-5 job. Crazy Margaritas was written about what happens when one consumes too much tequila....her songs carry the weight of experience through life...new loves..lost loves...and a desire to have fun!
