The Allison EP

by Nate Lenz

A Truth focused melodic piano driven pop-rock with a little feel of ballads throughout. Songs that deal with the truth of things aren't always great, but we all go through very tough things at times.

Album Notes
The Allison EP is the first of hopefully many projects put out by Nate Lenz.

Growing up in Little Chute, WI, Nate always had a passion for music. Son of a preacher, he grew up at church, got involved and soon became one of the worship leaders at the church he attended. Music was always big in Nate's life, but always had a hard time writing anything of his own. In March of 2006 Nate moved to Sweden to attend a small bible school for two months. The second month of his stay, Nate learned how to play piano, and wrote his first three songs. He continued his writing and in January of 2007 was approached by Eric Thielen of Simple Studios in Green Bay Wisconsin, where Number One Fan (now known as The Wildbirds) recorded their debut album "Compromises". Eric had a desire on his heart to record an album with Nate, so they set out to do exactly that. Putting out an EP first and currently working on the full length, Eric and Nate let more than science and criticism drive these songs. Every song came out by simply writing down what was laid on Nate's heart. "I don't know music theory at all, but can hear if something sounds good. So when I try to teach others my songs, it takes a while to figure out what chords I am playing, kinda odd, but oh-well." Since Nate didn't have a band, he tapped into friends to write and play parts. With representation from bands such as The Wildbirds, Ivory, and Bob Kilpatrick, Nate and Eric put together this eclectic EP of "Piano-driven, melodic-pop-rock" all focusing on the truth of life, with a little taste of the Hope that's there. Enjoy this debut project from Nate Lenz, and keep an eye out for more.
