liminal space

by negative pH

If mutant DNA strains from Darth Vader, Clint Eastwood, Conan, the cast of "300", & Moby were spliced into Lara Croft's unborn son, he would be called Negative pH. Epic, dark, deadly, & dangerous to drive to. Watch out: "OVRMND" is coming soon.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"negative pH" formed on October 31st, 2000.

Their first, significant, collaborative effort yielded a remix of "Destination Skyline", originally by the Swedish group Aura (the source of Trance). The result: a remix that rivaled the original and peaked at #7 on the top 10 electronic charts of the original MP3(dot)com and stayed for two and a half weeks.

Since then, their sound has undergone a radical transformation. Continually experimenting with sounds and genres, negative pH ultimately discovered their talent lay in reverse-engineering genres and re-fashioning them in their own image. Their sound has successfully evolved into an "epic", new musical genre--a synthesis of drum & bass, dubstep, industrial rock, symphonic orchestrations, techstep, and trance with plenty of fire and chaos thrown in for the epic win--a genre they term 'pHediacore'.

With their second album 'OVRMND', released on October 31, 2008, the band has come full circle. Look for it soon here on CD Baby and on iTunes. For sneak previews and MP3 downloads of tracks from the album, including the entire album, go to the band's official website.

This music is very visual and thought provoking. It's got sort of a right brain, left brain balancing feel to it. I love it. Very transitional.
