Neide Van-Dúnem is an Angolan contemporary singer, songwriter and television/film actress. Her sound offers pristine vocals harmoniously laid either softly with an R&B influence over mellow contemporary Kizomba tracks or with an upbeat flair over traditional Semba and Kizomba beats.
Born and raised in Luanda, on July 4, 1986, Neide entered the entertainment business as a local theater actress at the age of 17, being cast in a major television series role one year later. Although acting provided Neide with her first encounter with fame, she continued to pursue the interest she had in a singing career since a very early age. She finally broke into the music business in 2007 with the release of the hit song "Olá Baby", the lead single of the compilation album "Eu e Elas (vol 1)".
After this showing of high market potential and her ascension as a pop icon, Neide put her acting career in the backburner to follow her childhood dream and ventured as an independent artist to record her self-titled debut solo album, to be released in 2009.
