Album Notes
High octane rock n roll and lush orchestration with a techno-pop twist.

Neko Negra\'s debut release Dreamspeak is a brooding, cinematic epic that showcases some imaginative songwriting and a knack for infectious melodies, cleverly blending electronica, world music, and funk with energized indie rock into something fresh, yet timeless. Most of its 11 songs are long mood pieces that develop slowly around the listener. Anchored by complex drum patterns, the layered wall-of-sound guitars, funky bass lines, and rich keyboards blend to create a lush, evocative soundscape that captures the ear immediately; and for all its length, the album is never boring. A schizophrenic, synthesis of the best of rock, boasting danceable funk anthems (\"River Of Dreams\", \"Devour\"), world-music-flavored exotica (\"Love\", \"Forgotten Cities\"), and more sullen statements of post-modern angst and indie rock (\"Countdown\").

Strip joint bump and grind served up hot and sticky by way of the Delta, Neko Negra provide the perfect soundtrack to that 3 a.m. drive on a deserted downtown street after the clubs let out and the real party begins.

I dug it, kind of punk, kind of new wave
Pretty decent disc, guitars remind me of AC/DC sometimes. Very orchestraded which seems a little overdone. Like the singer's voice. The songs are very dark without being cheesy wich i like too. I would recommend it to someone who likes the cure or that type of stuff.
