Album Notes
Neo G Yo, one/half of Serious Business, also known as the Newest G.
Painting soundscapes produced mostly by Winston Lane, he explores the nature of duality while discussing topics of babes, beats and balance. Garnering his name from the old SNK Neo Geo game system, his words embody a fond remembrance of youth and fun, countering the pressures of aging and rigidness. Engaging with the power of active passivity- wu wei, Neo is mostly focused on the art of partying.

Lately Neo has been spending his time in two studios working on a much revamped re-release of “Tokyo Time” also called “Tokyo Time”. Recorded at Green Luck Media Group with Jake Hummel, it embodies a complete re-visioning of the original project. A T shirt will be released along with the album in digital format,, which will both serve to raise money for Global Giving Japan.

With comparisons ranging from Beastie Boys to Spank Rock, Neo’s “slow and sexy sentenced..math rap” (-Willamette Weekly) is set to make an unknown party impact on the rap realm.
