Album Notes
NEW RELIGION was formed in the early 90's by singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist, Scott McGinley. After carving a niche for themselves along the US east coast, they set out to conquer the world with their mix of pop hooks, funky grooves and explosive live show (some have said-THE best show anywhere). Many albums were released along the way, but "Something Worth Keeping" is the only one still in existence. After a successful 5 year run, including extensive touring of 7 countries, opening for many internationally successful acts (Cheap Trick, Kool and the Gang, Micheal Learns to Rock), and chart and radio success, New Religion disbanded to form BLISS [see BLISS (Scott McGinley), INSIDERS]. ...but there are talks of a reunion album in the works......

Solid grooves, memorable melodies, killer arrangements
I saw this band live back in 1994... wore out my cassette, so I was pumped to find this CD online. Funky rhythms a la James Brown, with Beatles/Brian Wilson-style arrangements. The funk tunes grabbed me first, but the ballads are working their way into my mind. Real music played by real musicians... accessible and memorable!
