British composer Nigel Bellis has been writing songs for more than 20 years.
His most recent works are a modern twist on nostalgia. He records cleverly orchestrated Jazz and Latin based themes that are big on romance and exotic rhythms that incorporate (amongst others!) Tango, Rumba, Flamenco, Mambo, Afro-Cuban and classical styles.
His music is designed to take the listener on an adventure of the mind – one minute wandering a picturesque old village in Spain…the next experiencing a big band Latin party.
“There was a magic to those old black and white romantic films and the sweeping music they contained. I wanted to reinvent that spirit, but in a very contemporary way,” explains Nigel, who has had more than 600 themes broadcast around the world in TV shows.
His first album, The Golden Age of Latin Romance, is available on iTunes and Napster.
