Album Notes
The recordings collected on Shadow Garden mark the end of activities related to Crappy Nightmareville's embryonic manifestation (1994-2004). These pieces were all performed live with a minimum of preparation and a modicum of post fiddling-with, and each features an ad hoc ensemble experimenting with various ratios of composition to improvised gesture.

Founders and current curators of Crappy Nightmareville's Hermetic soundworld, Mike French and P. Andrew Willis, have here been joined by many of Louisville Kentucky's finest musicians and noise merchants. These citizen Nightmarevillians have played with Eugene Chadbourne, Evergreen, The For Carnation, Azuza Inkh (The Web), Parlour, The Belgian Waffles, The Magnetic Bananimals, The Incomparables Club, E/OR etc.
