ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
I've always surrounded myself with music and the arts. I was born in Pennsylvania, but I lived in Georgia until I was 7 and complete with a southern accent! Though, I grew up mostly in Massachusetts. I was constantly singing, playing flute, and trying to learn piano. I took dance and did shows, as well. I attended school at Ithaca College for Vocal Performance. When I graduated from the program, I moved to New York City to pursue Musical Theatre. When I got there, I gradually stumbled into Cabaret. I loved what I found! Cabaret is it's own entity. It combines great musical theatre pieces with jazz and ultimately it's own works. I discovered wonderful composers like John Bucchino and William Bolcolm who write beautiful and juicy music. I really enjoy having the ability to choose from a wide variety of sounds and styles while taking my own liberties and creating my own piece of art in the end. I hope to keep stretching myself with more genres. I'm hoping for my next stop to be Las Vegas to do some lounge singing!
