ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Born and raised in the magic land of Coeur d' Alene, Idaho, Noah recorded this debut album at the tender age of 19, because, he said, "I met a guy with high-quality recording gear, and I could." Beginning to be influenced by a couple years of classical guitar studying under his belt, while simultaneously remaining true to the late-night raucus sound explorations that were his bread and butter high-school daze, this composer has a talent for quality songwriting and artful guitar work, be they lyrical journeys influenced by Paul Simon, The Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan, The Beach Boys, Patty Griffin, Counting Crows, G. Love, Bob Marley, Widespread Panic, or instrumental compositions aided by the subconcious tutelage of Micheal Hedges, Francisco Tarrega, Andrew York, Phish, Leo Brower, Moments of Clarity, Darin Schaffer, Antonio Lauro, or James Brown. Now an older and wiser 24 years of age, Noah currently resides in Moscow, Idaho, where he is wrapping up his degree in Music Performance at the University of Idaho, with the guitar as his primary instrument. He is also proud to appear on CD-Baby friend Lisa Simpson's album, Steeping Orion. Check out "Grainmills". He has spent much of the last 2 years realizing his dream, playing with a band (Oracle Shack) in the Moscow area. This has been the primary focus and thus, the main distraction from a finishing up a second solo cd, (and degree? noooo . . .) which is almost done! (both) However, for good reason, Noah is quite excited about Oracle Shack, and its future. He likes nothing more than to navigate the seas of the vortex with Oracle Shack, as they harness atmospheres ranging from space traveling to avant garden(what?) to down home cookin'. unclear? so are we . . .check them out live or at www.oracleshack.com. Or Email Noah and you will both be happy that you did. . . . .
