Devin Sings Lead Track on a Reggae Version of "Someday We'll be Together" for a Burdines Ad.
The consummate artist, Devin Marsh AKA Nori Nori, is an accomplished performer, writer, arranger and instrumentalist. By 6 years old he displayed prodigious talent on both the piano and percussion. By 14 he was the bandleader and primary composer in his 1st organized group - "Free Style". Music undoubtedly was the passion that drove his career endeavors. After high school, Devin studied at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, on a Gary Burton Scholarship. The Berklee experience served to further broaden a musician with solid foundations. Here he studied jazz and classical theory as well as their historical components. After Berklee he moved on to the University of Miami where he received his BA in Music Education.
With his comprehensive educational background, Devin fused both academic and practical veins of his art. During the day he hones the future artist and musicians of the 21st century as an elementary music instructor.
However, at night he is dedicated to purveying the message of musical righteousness to all those who experience his creation. Nori Nori is the genesis of Devin and is supported by a diverse group of musicians. His vast experience in various musical genres has produced a distinctive sound that is the Nori Nori trademark. Fusing reggae, soca, jazz, R&B and many other influences, the band displays an unmatched versatility whether it is originals, remakes, or standards. These components have forged a unique musical style.
