ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Occasional Monster is a 5 piece indie rock band from Ohio that is plagued by an inability to describe itself. They are often described as Alternative, but that is a vast oversimplification. Occasional Monster travels from mellow folk to heavy rock. During the journey between extremes, they traverse through other territories including old-school country, jazz, blues, funk, and noise. They are not the first band to pull off this smashup of genres, but they are among a select few that do without losing the song in the process.
