As a personal project during a magical year when Ofer was studying for a teaching certificate he produced his first CD.)
His first translation of Leonard Cohen. a rocking version of Fur Elise. Yehuda Amichai's Elmale. A jazz blues rendition of Avraham Halfi's 3 cats. Pictures from Ofer's life as a working musician (waitress song, city light, i hate lies, ten fingers)) traveller (katmandu, little ghetto) clown (hoptzen benemtzen as a yiddish version of Bellefonte's shame and scandal) guru
(seth, slaves to mammon, not guilty). The Rave brothers, Emek on bass who later emigrated to Amerika to become a jazzman and Idan on drums who is today a celebrated trumpetist (Marsh Dondurme) in Jerusalem, accompanied Ofer in performances at Mike's Place (the original tiny place which today is a 5 bar empire) and the Arizona saving for the 300 CD release which is now a collector's item among Israeli prophets. The live recording is in the legendary PARGOD on Bezalel street, the first jazz place in Jerusalem run by Aryeh Mark and through the 80's the only place in Jerusalem for Indie artists or live music. This performance was one of the last there before the flood. The CD ends with Ofer's translation of Hendrix's Wind Cries Mary and although mixed from the board with no room mikes feels live. Transferred from ADAT to CD by Atcha Bar who became the producer/manager of the Yellow Submarine.
