Album Notes
BlueSeven is a mixed US-Brazil group based out of Sao Paulo.
Under the musical direction of US based Tenor Saxophonist Ohad Talmor who provided all of the writing for the music, BlueSeven's second Recording features an Octet with Daniel D'Alcantara on Trumpet, Luis Neto or José dos Santos alternating on Bari Saxophone, Denis Lee on Tenor Saxophone, Ricardo Castellanos on Piano, Djalma Lima on Guitar, Sidiel Vieira on Acoustic Bass and Cuca Teixeira on Drums.
Recorded in Sao Paulo in 2010, "Collage"concentrates exclusively on music written by Ohad Talmor and Wayne Shorter; both tenor saxophonists and composers. Talmor has been a long time admirer of Shorter's work and when discussing the concept for the group latest project, it seemed only natural to follow up with music by two noted saxophonists and composers from different generations, yet decidedly active and successful in the Jazz world and beyond of today.
