Album Notes
Alaska native Bret Phillips may have relocated to the slightly warmer climate of Seattle, WA, but the wintery arctic landscape stuck with him. His band, Oldman Winter, started off as a studio project in 2005 -- an outlet to create soundscapes to contrast the beauty and harsh realities of his experience. In 2007 Bret used the great talents of longtime friend and drummer Dirk Jewitt, bass player Patrick Nelson, and guitarist Riley Plumb to record Oldman Winter\'s first release \"An ARTic Circle\", (written, recorded and mixed by Bret at his studio Wax Poetic).
