Thanks for the memories of days gone by!
I've seen a number of modern barber-shop quartet recordings, most of which have tried to be so innovative that they seem to lose the old-time flavor of the music as I remember it. But this one by One More Time gets it right. Hearing it brings me back to my elementary school days, when I'd listen enthralled from a distance on Thursday nights as a science teacher led a group of high-school boys in barber-shop renditions of songs from years before I was born. No wonder this quartet were the 1992 senior champs: they even succeed in a neat arrangement of the John Denver hit, Country Roads, which I never imagined would sound good in barber-shop style. Thanks for the memories, and keep the music going!
