Album Notes
In June of 2006, I relocated to Santa Monica. I began working through some songs with Kentaro and Yash. We have played together over the years in various bands: SHAFT, MUZZLELOADER, BLAUDO. I always got off easy and got to be rock-and-roll god playing microphone in those bands. This time around I'm wielding a guitar as well... playing songs that I've carried around with me for years. The playmanship that Ken and Yash bring to the table lift these songs to another level. I have never heard down-and-dirty played so high. Kentaro brings the jazz to OOLYAKOO and provides a melody to the music. Per usual, Yash knows what to play, when and how. In ten years of our working together he has exhibited an ability to know exactly what to play. The music that they provide allows me to get a little lost and pull my performance from a place a little deeper than I'm used to. It is our hope that you enjoy the music as much as we enjoy playing it.
