Through the support of their regional fan base, Madison-based Oregon Falls has toured to the East Coast twice, and endured their fair share of hardships along the way. One of which was the "Noreaster" Storm that swept the Midwest in March of 2007. Narrowly escaping the 100+ car pile-up, they completed their Angel Kisses & Magic Tour without a scratch. The A.K.A.M. Tour was one of the many ventures that they have booked independently. OF's do-it-yourself mentality has sharpened networking skills, and also earned the deserved respect of their peers.
Oregon Falls has been described as a post-hardcore band that has forged driving guitar riffs, concrete drumming, and relentless vocals together to create a refreshingly new breed of music. Their influences range from the technical guitar work of bands like Thrice, Misery Signals, and Between the Buried and Me, as well as the ear-catching melodies of Beloved, The Sleeping, and The Receiving End Of Sirens. OF's blend of catchy choruses and unyielding breakdowns has gained them attention from not only many surrounding venues, but management by Broken Spirit Club Artist Management Company. This recent signing with BSC Artist Management has spawned yet another doorway of opportunity for OF to make their way to touring full-time as a national act.
Oregon Falls was formed in August of 2003. The current lineup of Josh Barraza (vocals), Ryan "Beaver" Taalbi (vocals/drums), Cameron Small (guitar), Rob Pompa (guitar), and Kevin Wiklund (bass), is the result of changes in lineup after several years of developing a grass-roots fan base in central and southern Wisconsin.
Oregon Falls has shared the stage with such national acts as: The Devil Wears Prada, Misery Signals, Drop Dead Gorgeous, The Sleeping, Hopesfall, Four Letter Lie, Showbread, A Day to Remember, Throwdown, Poison the Well, Alesana, Hopesfall, Royden, Eyes Set to Kill, Greeley Estates, Calico System, The Tide, Dead Hearts, Everest, Dance Gavin Dance, and I Am the Avalanche.
With their "Never Say Die" EP, produced by John Naclerio of Nada Recording Studios in March 2008, Oregon Falls, is currently under negotiations to provide support for some of this upcoming summer's national tours and festivals.
