ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
For those who love and value beautiful singing Origen presents new rendition for two voices of Handel's aria from the opera Rinaldo, which became very popular after the the movie "Farinelli Il Castrato".
Abstract: The times of the First Crusade in and around the city of Jerusalem. Rinaldo and Almirena are celebrating their love. They are interrupted as Armida appears, and wrests Almirena from Rinaldo's embrace. Rinaldo draws his sword to defend his lover, but a black cloud descends to envelop Armida and Almirena, and they are borne away. Rinaldo mourns the loss of his loved one. In Armida's castle, Almirena mourns her captivity
English translation:
Let me weep over my cruel fate
And that I long for freedom!
And that I long, and that I long for freedom!
Let me weep over my cruel fate
And that I long for freedom!
