ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Orriel Smith is a classically trained recording artist, studio singer, TV/ film actor and Irish/English folk singer. Her whimsical interpretation of songs and arias are sung from the perspective of a “Classical Chicken Diva”as in her "The World's Favorite CluckOratura Arias". She is often accompanied by her apprentice, the CatOratura, as in her recent novelty CD, "Live From CarnEGGy Hall" . An artist of Singular Serious Silliness.

"Once you recover from the initial concept, step back and experience awe at Smith's range, control and humor." Technobeat Magazine.
" It has the possibility of a new technique, of being even a new side-musical form. It surely is very well done. It needed the guts combined with the skills to have tried this, like she did, in a serious context, but she did, and it was well received " Psychadelic Folk
