Album Notes
Check out the dynamic beats of "Panty Ho" and the determined action plan of "Feel" (I wanna go too far /And take what I can /This life is for the living /Don't wanna just look in). Then there's the commercial-sounding track "Lonely Day," which will be featured on the upcoming THQ game release "MX Unleashed" for Sony Playstation 2 and Xbox (The game is set to release in February 2004). And suddenly a mood swing - ever so smoothly, Otis takes you into a time of reflection with their catchy hook and regrets in "I'm Sorry" and their contemplative thought provoking verses of "Nothing Sky" (Where do you go to find tomorrow? /What kind of space do you think you'd fill?). "Angel" is charged with a sucker-punched emotional longing that just firms up the belief that this band is as diverse and talented as they come. Just try sitting down to the driving beat of "Safe From You."

Otis was first introduced to the world when they released "Hold Your Breath" on the video game Splashdown in 2001. More recently, they were commissioned to write the song "Forever Still" for the forthcoming animated feature Ark. This introspective song about loss finds hope and a poignant live version of it can be found on their debut album Abundavida.

Pretty Good Stuff
Sounds like earlier Incubus at times - very listenable but not quite as heavy as I like. But, good for when I am in a lighter mood. Actualy would rate 3.5 stars.

Best Song
Man, i heard this song in the game MX Unleashed and always wanted to buy this CD... anyone know where to buy this CD? :D

Great songs/terrific beats/for a first released cd-wonderful
I think the selection of songs chosen on this cd are GREAT! And, being that it's their own music/songs and their first released CD, it is wonderful! Great talent all the way around. I love every track on here, and look forward to another release! Great work guys-the beat is sensational, and a little something for everyone! Thanks for the release of this CD!

I like your style not to hard not to soft it is just how I like it and it is easy listening!!

Nice sound, similar to old STP and radiohead
This album shows a lot of potential. I look foreward to hearing where their next album goes. Sounds like radiohead meets tom waitts with an occasional old STP feel.

great music
Big fan of this cd...great mix between energetic rock and softer, more introspective songs. Every song has good lyrics and most have some pretty good hooks as well. As far as i'm concerned, this is a great band with above-average musicians who aren't in it for the business, but for the sake of music itself. If you're into great music, you can't go wrong with this cd. I'll definitely listen to more of their stuff when they release it.

Melodic to the CORE
Abundavida is full of songs that are inherently melodic and infectious. On this album, OTIS reminds one of Nada Surf at their best --- rockers that crunch, piano based ballads that emote, and acoustic tinged tunes that feel. This one's a KEEPER.

great cd
i like this cd a grip, the best song is lonely day and i actually heard it from the game MX Unleahshed. Thats my favorite song in the game so i bought the cd. alrighty

Hold your breath
This album is great! Can anyone tell me, where i can get the song hold your breath (i heard it in the video game splashdown)? I can\'t find this track... it seems that this song doesn\'t exist

Why haven't I heard of these guys yet!
I love this cd! This band is great! I especially love the song Forever Still! I wish they had the version of it on the cd that wasn't live though. I'm so glad I stumbled upon the song and cd.I love the singer's voice! I will be buying the cd today-can't wait for their website to be finished :)
