Album Notes
Coming off like the soundtrack to an imaginary film that would no doubt be banned in some countries, Owen Gilbride\'s debut album \"Scary Monster!\" is a towering mish-mash of archaic synthesizers, distorted sound samples, & artificially created instruments (wrench-celesta, anyone?). Hammering together everything from jungle rhythm, to chip tune, to Hollywood film soundtrack, to ambient industrial noise, it creates an instrumental audio story that any scary monster would approve.

\"Unlike most young artists, who emulate the flavour of the month in the hopes of pleasing friends, Gilbride\'s music consists of samples and dense cinematic landscapes. It\'s a challenging listen\" - Chuck Teed, Here Magazine

A good collection of work. Very creative and engaging. It\'s great to see that not everyone is making music the same way. There\'s a lot of artistry on this album.
