ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
If Tim Burton could sing, the World would already have something along the lines of Ox's 'Silent Night & Other Cowboy Songs'. An album designed for Christmas celebrations in the wee hours- College chart dweller Mark Browning and Co. serve up equal parts Bing Crosby, Gene Autry, and Dr. Suess with a generous twinkling of fairy dust. Tongue in cheek at times, reverential at others- its tricky to tell which is happening which on this seasonal charmer as campfire lofi guitars combine with wizzing moogs and studio cacophony. To celebrate the rich and ancient legacy of traditional Christmas composition, Ox chooses nocturnal and weird- its the musical equivalent of Christmas morning on drugs.
