Album Notes
"Pablo G"

Born Paul Hawker in Georgetown, Guyana on February 20, 1958
with the desire and perseverance to be an Entertainer, has dedicated his energies to the fine art of Social Commentary which he expresses in his New Shanto Crossover Style.

Pablo attended Saint Mary's R.C. School in Guyana, South America, and in the USA, Boys and Girls High School. During these teenage years his greatest influences were;Bob Marley, Paul McCartney, Earth Wind and Fire, Big Youth and I Roy, which took him into the Dance-Hall Arena.

In the late seventies Pablo became a member of "Shock Treatment" a dance band and then a member of the 1991 Caribbean Grammy Awards Winner for Best New Group, "The Ninja Band". Paul continued to learn the necessities of the trade and went on to form a group in his living room, which lead to the creation of a group named "Royal Bannah Sound".

This group being affiliated to Guyanese Calypso legend" The Lady Guymine", was the result of an incorporation in the song " Granny Fit" by Lady Guymine and Pablo G. Recording Granny Fit at Amerindian Studios was the first step in the creation of the album "Rude Boy".

Pablo G will bring a freshness in his performance which will nice up the occasion at any time.

" Royal Bannah " adj. 1 Of pertaining to a King, Queen or other Monarch. 2 Of or pertaining to the service of a kingdom. 3 Superior in size and quality.
Ban.nah - n. Guyanese slang for man or men
