I highly recommend this CD.
This CD is great! The time is rock solid, the vocals are flawless, and the music just grooves. The extraordinary thing about this band, though, is that they have their own sound, a kind of fusion between jazz, rock, and funk. While it may be reminiscent of artists such as The Slip and Steely Dan, it is clear that this band has created its own, unique style in the world of music. This recording is right on the money.

very good, lots of talent
the cd is excellent. it's a tasteful mix of blues, funk, rock, fusion, jazz and reggae. instrumentally, they're very impressive and it's clear that they know what they're doing when it comes to songwriting. Great album and i look forward to more stuff from them in the future.

Good music, but not quite there yet
This a really well put together CD. The balance of the vocals and the rythym is great, unlike in their live recorded self-titled album. I wish there had been more jams, and less repetitive rythmic work. Some of the lyrics were um...just kinda stupid (Crazy Driver?). But overall, a great CD to kick back with.

The Dartmouth

An awesome blend of funk, jazz fusion and rock to some great beats.
The album starts off on a very high note with "Someday It Falls," which is one of the strongest tracks on the album, a sold mix of funk and rock. Another great vocal track is "Crazy Driver," which has a great guitar riff and a solid back beat. "Queen Skin," another vocal track, has a really catchy chorus and great lead guitar.
The instrumental tracks are equally solid and give the band a chance to show off its jamming power ("Borealis" is probably the best of these, followed by the more up-tempo "Nomo Jones").
All in all the album is a great debut. Paradaem shows a lot of promise and should continue refining their style and writing good songs.
RECCOMEND.
