Album Notes
WINFIELD PARKER a well-known balladeer of music began singing gospel music in 1985. His songs and his testimony have inspired him to deliver his musical message throughout the east coast. Winfield Parker comes from a very large, spiritual family background. He is no stranger to “Praising the Lord.” Through his own personal experiences, Winfield Parker has been able to testify how good the LORD is to him and what the LORD has done for him. And it is through these personal experiences that Winfield Parker decided to go out and share his good blessings through his music Ministry to others.

With being blessed with all the LORD’s praises, Winfield Parker decided to add a fantastic group of backup singers called PRAISE. The voices of “Praise” are Vanessa Hunter, Emily Watson, and Sarah Parker.

Through Winfield Parker and Praise’s growing travels they have made numerous friends with some of gospel’s outstanding personalities. Such as, Patrick Ellis, and Jackie Gales Webb (radio personalities, WHUR/Washington (96.3 FM), who certainty thinks that Winfield Parker and Praise are a great gospel group to be heard. Patrick has been inspirational as well as supportive to Winfield Parker and Praise’s gospel journey.

Winfield Parker and Praise has appeared on The Bobby Jones TV show in Atlanta, Georgia. They had the opportunity of meeting and performing with John P. Kee, Douglas Miller, Dorothy Norwood, Albertina Walker, Frank Williams and many popular artists at the show. In 1996 Winfield Parker and Praise appeared on a show with the worlds famous Mighty Clouds of Joy. In May 1999 for a Mother’s Day celebration, Winfield Parker & Praise opened for Vicki Winans at the Convention Center in Philadelphia, PA. In April 2002 performed at Rev. Thomas Walker (“One Day At A Time”) church, and also in 2002 was on a program with the Jackson Southernaire’s. In 2003 appeared on a program with Mr. Luther Barnes.

In 2004 – Winfield Parker and Praise performed with Dr. Bobby Jones as the Master of Ceremony in Boston, Mass. on April 3rd 2004. They appeared with LEE WILLIAMS (“Cooling Water”) on May 1st and with SLIM and THE SUPREME ANGELS on May 3rd 2004.

In April 2006 – Winfield and his Wife had the opportunity to see Rev. Shirley Caesar in Concert at the Three Little Bakers Theater in Delaware and in May 2006 had the opportunity to visit Rev. Shirley Caesar’s Church in North Carolina, we chatted with her with hopes to have Winfield Parker & Praise to perform there for a concert in the fall.

With Winfield Parker and Praise’s “country music flavor,” and “clap-your-hands” gospel style, the group has made distinct notoriety as being a gospel group that gives a gospel message with real gospel style. May God Bless…
