ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Pasquale Esposito was born and raised in Naples, Italy. He comes from a large loving family that has supported his passion for music. He is the youngest of five with four older sisters. Pasquale developed his love for music at a young age singing in the church choir. While living in Italy, he enjoyed sharing his vocal gifts with others at public and private venues. His performances created an opportunity for Pasquale to develop and share his prodigious vocal talents and his rich emotional side with his audience. Indeed, he is able to penetrate right into the emotional heart of any song, classical or contemporary, with his warm tenor voice. Pasquale transforms the spirit of crowds of all age groups with the sheer power of his unforgettable voice.
In 1998, Pasquale immigrated to the United States where he would be able to further his goal of becoming a professional singer and songwriter. Pasquale began to further his education by taking courses for a Bachelor of Arts in Music at San Jose State University. His primary focus is opera. He expects to graduate in 2009. Throughout his coursework, Pasquale has received training from world-renown faculty whom have developed Pasquale both as an individual and as an artist.
Pasquale’s love of Italian language and culture is apparent in his CDs: “My Passion” (2000), “My Destiny” (2004), “Naples … That’s Amore!” (2005) and “Il Fornaio: Authentic Italy, Vol. 1” (2008). These CDs reveal Pasquale’s remarkable capacity to perform both classical and contemporary Italian, English, Neapolitan and Spanish standards.
Presently, Pasquale is finalizing his latest CD: “A Brand New Me” consisting of original compositions in his distinctive pop-opera style. The making of this CD was an international collaboration of many talents, including but not limited to: songwriters, musicians, composers, arrangers, lyricists and sound engineers. The recording of the CD took place in Italy and the United States. The transatlantic fusion of cultures and musicians resulted in a spectacular CD which is expected for release in 2009, followed by an international tour.
Aside from recording CDs, Pasquale has toured both in the US and abroad with several musical productions and concerts. From 2005 through 2007, Pasquale toured with the Italian musical revue: “Naples … That’s Amore!” (www.naplesthatsamore.com) Pasquale and Ettore Squillace, an accomplished director and choreographer from Naples, Italy, collaborated to write, direct and produce this production. The show toured in the following cities: Santa Clara, CA, Stockton, CA, Pompeii, Italy, Naples, Italy, San Francisco, CA, Monterey, CA, San Jose, CA , Los Angeles, CA, Canoga Park, CA, San Diego, CA, Chicago, Il, and Boston, MA. The last run of the show was presented at the historical Teatro Bellini in Naples, Italy in the spring of 2007.
In the fall of 2007, Pasquale had the opportunity to tour with Gigi D’Alessio and Anna Tatangelo, two of Italy’s finest pop artists, during their 2007 North American Tour. Aside from touring with these artists, Pasquale introduced his original music to the public for the first time in his own 2007 concert tour of “Simply Pasquale!” The concert series debuted in San Jose at the Montgomery Theatre in October and was later followed by performances at The State Theatre in Modesto and The Herbst Theatre in San Francisco. “Simply Pasquale!” will continue to tour this fall with stops in San Diego, Boston, Chicago and Italy.

Who is Pasquale? I'll tell you.
PASQUALE

Pasquale, Pasquale his voice is pure gold;
And his wisdom is amazing, for someone not very old;

He’s clever and witty and his charisma abounds;
His moods sometimes vary, and can keep you going round and round.

His eyes are hazel and will penetrate your soul;
And I’m beginning to think that that’s one of his goals.

He harnesses energy that comes from above;
And sings lots of songs that talk about love.

I met him in July and fell under his spell;
And now the year’s over and it’s hard to tell.

But I think it may be forever, that I’ll be his fan;
And I just feel so lucky to have come across this man.

Makes me HAPPY & ALIVE!…My heart sings and spirit dances!
It’s a gift! A flavorful bouquet of vibrant sounds, international rhythms and avant-garde arrangements…"My Destiny" is everyone’s destiny!…Bridging diverse cultures, languages, beats, life, love, and touching our heart strings! It smoothly transports us from the soul of Naples to a Latin dance floor in the middle of Paradise… and he succeeds in breathing jazzy new life into our favorite oldies! Authentic, Playful, Italian, and Fun-Spirited…It’s Simply Pasquale!!!

Pure fun!
This CD is so much fun - some tracks make you want to dance and smile while others bring back memories from years past. There are several Latin style songs and Italian versions of some standards you'll be sure to recognize. Even if you don't understand Italian, you will love the feel of the music and the extraordinary talent of Pasquale. No matter what he sings, his passion and talent come through!

My Destiny is a great collection of songs from the multi talented Pasquale.
Pasquale has demonstrated with this CD that he is equally at home singing arias and love songs as he is with latin dance music. My Destiny gives us a chance once again to enjoy the his musical talent and when combined with his other CD, My Passion you get a good representation of what this artist can do. The combination of english and italian and spanish in some of the songs in My Destiny sets Pasquale apart from others in this category. Well worth it.

another great hit, amazing talent, it gives me great pleasure.
i never thought i could enjoy another c.d. as much as i enjoyed my passion. but pasquale did it again. another great musical creation. i have played it over and over and can't get enough. the latin combo italian beat makes you want to get up and dance. i love the american standards done in italian they sound so much more romantic. and the dialect just keeps a smile on my face. what a pleasure to have you in our lives. thanks for your gift of passion that you share with us. these c.d.'s are a must for any music lover. ciao
