ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Passenger is an Austin, Tx based emcee with influences ranging from TV On The Radio to Atmosphere; from Deftones to Sage Francis; from Mars Volta to Cunninlynguists; and everything in between. Born in Massachusetts, Passenger spent most of his younger days growing up in New York and Houston, Tx eventually moving to Austin, Tx in 1996 attending college to try his hand as a sound engineer. During these years, his musical versatility had him playing bass in an alternative rock band, singing in another side project, DJing house, jungle and hip hop music at various venues in Austin. Eventually he became a full time DJ for the reggae/ska/hiphop/punk band, Indofin, which he still remains a member playing shows around the country. His love for hip hop provoked him to purchase an MPC and has been making beats and rhyming ever since.

"The Brick In A Glass House" is the debut album from Passenger. The album contains production from Nozebleed, Lazerbeak (Doomtree), amongst others as well as his own and has guests from Austin's own Emcee, Justin Cook, Weezel, as well as a few others. Currently, you can find him playing shows around the Austin area and will begin to venture out to other Texas cities starting this Spring. Lyrical Genius on the loose !
I have become an immediate fan of this cat just after hearing a few samples. His sound is highly intuitive and the energy promotes through his lyrics and breaks are phenominal. I love Sage Francis, Buck 65 & all the artists off the StrangeFamous label . . . I found out about Passenger through Sage & Company and I have been a huge fan since. Keep the underground alive !

very good cd, was definitely worth more than the 10 bucks i paid for it.
From the lyrical content to the beats, this album hit close to home. I like that kind of stuff especially in hip-hop 'cause at this moment, mainstream hip-hop is becoming a dying black art, and it didn't use to be that way, but thanks to mcs like passenger, it stays the underground phenomenon it was always meant to be. Overall, I really enjoyed this album, and was most definitely worth the 10 bucks I paid for it, and definitely more. I hope to look into more of Passenger's work.

This is a truly great debut release. It restores faith that there are still people making good hip hop. If you haven't picked it up yet you're missing out!!
