ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Christmas in Kentucky, the title song from this new all-original Christmas CD, is naturally a big hit with folks from the Bluegrass Commonwealth, but its catchy, country-flavored tune is enjoyable to sing along with even if one hails from another state. The CD features a mix of eleven more captivating sacred and secular Christmas tunes written in a variety of styles to suit most musical tastes. A Christmas Memory is particularly appealing to anyone who appreciates a smooth jazz ballad.

Every tune is rich in Christmas imagery masterfully painted with simple melodic strokes, which makes them memorable as well as hummable. The same can also be said of the lyrics; a powerful message lies in their simplicity. A perfect example is The Holiest of Nights.

Patricia and Joe Tarentino make a complementary team. While they are accustomed to performing together, mainly in jazz venues, creating their CD was a new and exciting adventure. The music and lyrics were penned and recorded by Patricia, while Joe arranged, mixed and produced the CD.

As a complete package Christmas in Kentucky is a beautifully crafted blend of the earthly delights and the spiritual joy of Christmas. It’s a gift that will keep giving for years to come.

The song that carries the title of the CD is my favorite! You should add this to your collection.

Christmas at Kentuky
Patricia's beautiful voice super-enhances the terrific lyrics of her songs. I hope all of us who enjoy this album will encourage Patricia to continue recording not only her original songs but make other recordings of so many wonderful songs with the great voice she has. Best wishes

This CD is a Christmas favorite in our household. Even my 2 year old dances around to the songs! We especially love Santa's Song and Christmas in Kentucky, and would buy any new CDs of hers that come out.

Christmas in Kentucky
This is a great CD to remind us of the "reason for the season". Pat's voice is equally at home in a supper club, onstage, or a church. To have written both the music and the lyrics for these twelve songs was a giant undertaking and certainly ended in a job well done!
