ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Steps of Slidell:
A couple retreats from a rapidly changing society into seclusion and set up a home in the far reaching swamp. A boychild is born. He grows and learns the ways of the water, and the way to get right. As adulthood approaches curiosity builds for the outside world. He knows he must go, and does under cover of night. His steps are chronicled in these 10 songs, in order, in tale form.

Patrick Foster (vocals, guitar, songwriting and arrangements), Markus Hoyer (vocals, guitar), Chris Woertink (bass), and Darren Reynolds (drums) formed the nucleus resulting in these recordings. Produced by Brandon Busch at Sound Media Productions in Seattle, WA. Other engineering and production by Eric Frank, Patrick Foster, and Darren Reynolds at Resonant Audio in Wenatchee, WA.

A partial list of the musicians on this recording: Strings by Andrew Joslyn and Danah Olivetree, horns by Kent Chalmers, Joel Hoyer, Cody Cadden, and Myles Lawrence. Fender Rhodes and piano by Chris Morton, Vibes by Steev Turner, Hammond B3 by Ron Weinstein, vocals by Rhia Foster, Harmonica by Lee Oskar.
