Album Notes
comedian / musician / DJ / maverick / idiot

"Songs In The Key Of Death" is Paul's third album in but sixteen years. It was written and recorded during the first half of 2012 to accompany his live show of the same name performed at the Edinburgh Fringe the same year. It featured help from a host of excellent musicians and the hard work of two fantastic producers, namely, Chris Hollis (Spandex Ballet) and Paul Moules (The Scurge).

Here's a bit about the man himself...

A genial combination of jokes, songs and poetry (“His act is a treasure chest packed to bursting with little gems” ), self styled ‘Rock & Roll Poet and comedian Paul appears at clubs and festivals around the UK and most recently abroad has toured USA, South Africa, Singapore, Croatia, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Ireland, Hungary, Austria and Norway.

Paul is a regular at the Jongleurs and Highlight Comedy Clubs, has performed at major UK music festivals including headliner act at Reading and compere for V Festival Leeds. He also promotes and hosts his own monthly shows and in 2012 has expanded into hosting comedy tours around Austria and Scandinavia.

“One of our fair country’s most brilliant comedians“ (100% Biker Magazine, June 2011)

“…Paul is always a winner at these gigs, his genial combination of jokes, songs and poetry make him a firm favourite with an audience of bikers. Sometimes if he or she is lucky, a comic will have one of those gigs where they can do no wrong and they have an almost tangible link to each and every member of the audience. it is as near as you can get to being a god without actually killing lots of people. This was one such occasion for Paul – he was truly ‘in the zone’ and at the end of his set the demand for an encore could not be refused…” (100% Biker magazine, 0ct 2008)

“a magnificent gig” BBC online (Feb 05)

“you try sitting there with your pint in your hand and not laughing. In his time he’s penned some comedy club cult classics…” Manchester online

“A guitar-wielding gag merchant whose almost insane sense of humour delighted the eager audience” BBC Lincolnshire

“Pretty damn funny” Scottish Daily Mail

“The crowd was begging for an encore“ Bedfordshire On Sunday

“The Boss” Chris Evans

“A Comedy King” Roland Rivron

“A very naughty boy – he deserves a smack on his bottom” Lorraine Kelly (GMTV)
