Album Notes
"Where's Pauldo?", the first poetry album from Dorian "Paul D" Rogers in seven years, is packed with great production and fresh, new poetry. It features production from Ken Jo who produced on Ludacris' Grammy-winning "Release Therapy". There is also production by Ashanti Floyd, Kwame Busia, and Detavious Deariso, all established producers in their own right. The album focuses on progressive issues from environment, struggles as independent artist, love break up, youth violence, international war conflicts, and more in a creative way that only Paul D can bring across. Packed with imagery, story-telling, and a hip cadence, this album is sure to raise the bar with spoken word albums.

This thirty-year old, award-winning poet, certified Language Arts teacher, and Hip-Hop artist is truly a Renaissance man. Dorian "Paul D" Rogers' unique imagery, word play, concepts, and storytelling abilities have solidified him as one of America's top performance poets. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, and raised in a small South Georgia town named Albany, Georgia, Dorian is continuing to make a name for himself. His recent move to Abu Dhabi where he started the city's first ever poetry open mike, "Rooftop Rhythms", and international features in Berlin and South Africa have also given him international exposure.

In 2007, he helped Slam Charlotte to a first place finish at the National Poetry Slam, the world’s biggest poetry competition. In that same year, Dorian was featured on AIB's Emmy-nominated "Sound of Youth" television program for his poetry mentoring in Atlanta area schools. In 2005, he won the Southern Fried Poetry Slam, beating out over 100 poets in the world's biggest regional slam competition. His talents have put him on stage with Amiri Baraka, Nikki Giovanni, and Stevie Wonder to name a few. In 1999, he helped found the progressive Hip-Hop duo, THER.I.P.Y. (The Radiance Is Purely Yours). With a poetry book, two spoken word albums, and four rap albums under his belt, the poetry world is on the edge of its seat to see what this rising star will do next.
