Paul Draper makes his debut as a leader on this recording. He spent his life as a sideman on countless recordings and tours beginning in 1964 playing Farfisa keyboard with the show/review band the Shampells. This record was produced by his son professional Kansas City-based musician Brandon Draper. The two have been sharing the stage since Brandon was 9 years old.
Paul has been stealing the spotlight for years with his Hammond Organ skills and stage presence, AKA "The Wildman" as he was aptly named years ago for his energy and spirit.
This recording features a vast array of styles of funk, blues, R&B, soul, country, and jazz, all with uplifting lyrical content. The instruments used were all vintage and there was no cutting corners on getting the right sounds spending 5 years to complete.
"it has a mid 70s Van Morison type feel and smooth low end is so warm!"
