Starlight 13

by Paul G Hughes

Starlight 13 is a collection of thirteen atmospheric chill instrumentals that are intended for quiet relaxation. The concept behind the collection is a voyage into space, one of my greatest fascinations as a child, and still a great source of wonder.

Album Notes
As I worked on the concept of this new release, I tried to capture the wonder I feel every time I think about what is out there in the vast reaches of space. It is truly impossible for me to wrap my mind around the enormity of our own galaxy, and to think that there is so much more beyond our tiny existence is quite humbling. Through the music in Starlight 13 I've tried to capture that sense of wonder and amazement, and take the listener on a journey through what could be waiting for us out there in the great unknown. Unlike some music that is composed along these theme lines, each composition has a definite melody. Some are more pronounced than others, but there is always something to grab onto as you make your way through the lush textures and quiet underlying rhythms. Spend an hour in exploration and find yourself transported to places where the beauty of space can be richly imagined.
